well, northern Va and DC could be called the same, and Norfolk-Va beach area is part of hampton roads, and we do have rail connecting them, but i'm thinking something more like the DC metro, where you have multiple lines going to all different areas. and all doing different things. I've seen how great the DC metro is at transferring people from Northern Va and back, but i want to send that down here to where i am, where you have a train station in every town and county that connects to major terminal. if you do that in every major area then you can have the state a lot more connected. If you extend that connection to other states, it would relieve traffic and help buisness here. we could have people that work in richmond, but live in Maryland. And that doesn't even begin to describe how this will help the horrible traffic of northorn Va,
and i agree that the funds seem unevenly distributed. it seems odd to me
and as for the traffic in between, depends on the area, time of day, and time of year. As you probably know, Northern Va has pretty bad traffic all the time, but powhatan is pretty clear. Norfolk, and virginia beach being a hugely industrial and tourist area has some pretty bad traffic, esspecially durring the summer when people come down to vacation
