Getting the word out

Hello to all. Getting the word out is key, people must know that we exist. I believe that Facebook would be a good place to start, I hope I haven't overstepped my bounds but I have taken it upon myself to do just that; "Join the Modern Whig Party of Virginia" is now a group to be found on Facebook, currently I am the only member. It would seem that people have become apathetic, but I do not believe this to be true, its just that everyone is communicating differently so this is how to reach them or at least one method. I have never been this fired up or had such a good gut feeling about anything, I believe we are at the birth of something truly great, we only need the courage to complete the work and really make it happen; we've got too good a thing here in this country to let it fall apart from greed and corruption. Perhaps the MWP can bring out the hearty spirit of every American to wake up and realize that we are by the people and for the people, that our country while great still has alot of healing to do and progress to make. Liberty and Prosperity is the future of our country and one day the world. Thank you for reading this post.

I joined too! The main Modern Whig Party group is growing and active. Lots of discussions. It is up to 1799 members.

I joined the Facebook group as well. Personally, I've been contemplating getting involved at college political fairs. Every so often at my university there are activities with political parties, etc..., and what better way to gain ground that through a Whig booth? I'm working on making a printable flier that could be handed out at various functions.

That's a GREAT idea! Here is the flyer I have used in the past. It prints color, front and back for 2 flyers (you have to get them cut). I use really light stock. 100 flyers runs about $50. http://vawhigs.org/dp/whig%20flyer%20x2.docx

It seems as though there is already a Modern Whig Party of Virginia group (although it has had no activity since December 2009 and has a ':' at the end of its name throwing off search results), would we want to attempt to combine the two groups?
