    GA Leadership Structure

The Georgia Modern Whig Party has made significant progress in defining a structure for both it's party and for it's leadership. The leadership structure enables a way to process a methodology toward problem solving. This is a replacement for an ideology.

These structures can be seen here: Party and Leadership Structure, with more here: Whig Organization Portal. There is more detailed information in a presentation given by Drew, but that is not on the net as yet.

The Leadership Structure revolves around a profile for each leader. This profile contains some personal information, like marriage status, a resume, an Application to the Profile, and a list of Whig Party activities like Whig Awards, Whig Classes, Leadership Positions, Whig Events and Community Involvement, Whig Organizations, and Issues Stance.

The activity around a profile is to Develop. Other activities are to Learn, Solve, Execute and Track.

Under Learn is the Academy, which is the mechanism of providing Whig classes.

Under Solve is the Solutions Forum, where problems defined by the Associations can be discussed and solutions found.

Under Execute is the Community Forums, were coordination of activities and events can be organized.

Finally there is Track to track all of this into the profile.

What do we want in Virginia? Let's discuss.

Well, we have not achieved enough participating members to begin to discuss that yet. I would say when we get around 20 participating members, we can contact the GA folks (Drew) to help us think about starting some classes. I think these would be on certain political topics. Hopefully, we can focus on some state issues.

Do you have any ideas for classes you would like to take?

Yes, exactly. The idea is to put some topic classes together, like say federal budgeting. I don't know what the medium for such a class would be - over the web I guess. Lots to be worked out there. And of course, GA is likely to have thought about some of this.
